From my interaction with the Kapuso stars last Araw ng Dabaw, few moments stood out. The stars were the most charming in those times. Made me think of what could possibly make someone a charm one moment and blah the next. So I came up with this non-exhaustive list of what could possibly improve your charm to your audience. Things I need to apply asap.

1. Never come late, especially for a musical extravaganza or you'll end up seeing this instead of the actual stage. Swerte na if makita mo pa buhok ng artista.

2. Stay away from the stairs leading to the stage. Especially if a hot guy is performing.

4. Or for hotties with mesmerizing eyes.

4. Outtakes are the best part. Take plenty.

5. Lastly, always dress up and look like you're going to interview artistas. Because you might end up doing just that - which was exactly what happened last Thursday. I expected to just be attending a media meeting but ended up walking into a room with Dennis Trillo in it.

Mui Ne is a sight to behold, no?

It's too beautiful. Boner.

Ca phe sua da, oh la la!

How I Heard about Mysterescape and Why My Excitement

I heard about Mysterescape some time in 2015 and instantly thought of it as the local version of one of my favorite TV shows growing up, The Crystal Maze, which I used to religiously watch back in the 90s.

Now, you've to understand one thing about me: I like the idea of being smart except I'm probably not as smart as I hope I were but not as, uh, not-smart either. Being smart is important. In fact, two of the things that make me drool and jolt me out of bed every morning is the idea that I am going to be the female version of Iron Man and, two, I'll solve the Rubik Cube in record speed today. Iron Man with or without his armor can maneuver his way out of any situation and he does so while having more than enough humor to defuse a tense and even deadly situation. And I've never solved the Rubik's cube.

So you can just imagine how the idea of being a clever contestant in a real maze without losing my chill or humor is sort of, and if you've been following you should get used to this phrase by now, "a dream come true". I would also equate solving a maze to solving the Rubik's Cube. Mysterescape offers the right environment to turn my fantasies into a reality.

So I finally got my first shot at testing my detective skills or lack of it through Mysterescape. I got an invite to celebrate their first year anniversary via one of the mommy bloggers. Warmest thanks to Mommy A-an for the invite and to the Mysterescape people for the free access and for taking our photos while we were inside. Rules say you're not allowed to bring your things inside.

So it's a good thing that I signed up to McDonald's New Years Party and Product Launch last week. It was a good reminder of the things that I'm really aiming for which is anything that makes me feel more alive each day: meeting new people, experiencing life and all its pitfalls and triumphs and writing the heck out of all these things that I get myself into.

The party started off with some games and eventually got into the meat of the event which is their New Mushroom Pepper Steak. I tried the meal days before the launch, and I thought it was going to be one of my McDo options in the days to come. (I'm ordinarily a Chicken Sandwich and Iced Vanilla Coffee girl.) The Mushroom Pepper Steak was creamy and juicy and the 1-piece meal at Php55 gives me more than my fill at a price that fits the budget just right.

McDonald's Mushroom Pepper Steak is a welcome addition to their range of filling and affordable rice meals. it features a juicy burger patty, smothered in a mushroom cream sauce with a hint of pepper, and topped off with sliced button mushrooms.
